Shortly after 2am on Thursday morning 2/05/09 the Mount Arlington Fire Department was dispatched for a chimney fire at 210 Howard Blvd in Mount Arlington, NJ. The fire started behind the chimney of this two story woodframe construction residential dwelling with extension to the structure itself. Mutual aid was requested from Jefferson Fire Company # 2, Roxbury Fire Co # 1 & 2 and Picatinny Arsenal. The fire was under control in less than an hour. Although the residents were home at the time of the fire, no injuries were reported. Howard Boulevard remained closed for several hours, but was reopened just before 6 a.m.
